Confused? ¬ an explanation of the ¿dave project?
The History:
I've written countless explanations of the ¿dave project? over the time it has been going (which is only a few years), and put simply, the whole thing is just totally confusing. I could explain where it came from, which is myself looking up from unpacking my bags on a youth holiday near north wales, to say, in one of my occaisional momentary fits of obscurity, to someone I knew was called Chris, the questioning word 'Dave...?'. For some reason people found this rather funny, and so the mission to confuse as many people as possible began.

The Website:
Dabbling in database code a bit I ended up producing an online database of ways to confuse people. It seemed popular, and then, in true technology tradition, well and truly broke. So here before you is the DaveBase Mk 2, an interactive online database of ways to confuse people, and now, also practical jokes. You can browse through the categories in the menu, or get a random method of confusion. You can even add your own, and new in DaveBase MK 2, submit multi-media to help guide other people in the best way to confuse those around them.

Why?
You may ask why we do this? Well, erm, its fun :)
One thing I will point out, is that not all the things described here are actually meant to be done. In fact, half of the entertainment value in them, is in imagining the effect they would have. Its an obscure humor kinda thing.

The dave project cannot accept any resposibility for any comedy, humor (humour) or confusion that may or may not result from using the practical jokes, pranks, confusionisms and other ideas contained within this online database of madness produced by the dave project. The zany, weird, obscure, strange, or perhaps occaisionally sensible visual gags, jokes, pranks and other methods of confusion are added by the users, and no copyright is retained on individual ones, but the database itself is copyrighted, as is this site design. This paragraph is for layout and keyword purposes only. Ignore it :)
